It's that time of year again...the cherries are here! We love them so much in this house that we finally bought a cherry-pitter on Amazon a few years ago {it pits four cherries at a time}. Check out Amazon HERE for one like it. As you can see {from these pictures that I took last summer} Paigey loves to pit them and eat them and make a mess!

I love these beautiful flowers! 
They are tall, vibrant and have gorgeous colors!

They always bloom in summer at nana & papa's house...reaching tall to try and touch the sun. I love their crepe paper like petals...they just make my heart smile!

I hope they make your heart smile today!

getting sandy {with SAND ART}

My sweet friend Mishawn {also one of my BFF's} is so creative. She is always coming up with fun and simple ways to be creative {with her kids and for herself}. I love that she can do everything from sewing to cooking to baking to crafts and all with a smile on her face and four kids at her toes! She amazes me! 

Last summer when the kids were all together she came up with this little project to use up leftover sand from a kit for making sand art in a bottle {pictured below}. It was simple...but the kids loved it. They each drew out pictures on cardboard {with a pencil or crayon} and then used the popsicle sticks to add glue to each desired area. Next they sprinkled the colored sand on the glued area of choice and shook it off {like cinnamon toast}!

 Summer is just around the corner and I am trying to round up ideas for keeping my kids busy! I am adding this one to my list for sure.

May's {ten on ten}

I am loving {ten on ten} this year. Documenting my daily life in pictures, once a month, is pretty fun and actually shows me a lot about myself {like that fact that I obviously live and die by our calender because it has been in almost every months project so far}. This months project was a fun and busy day with two different friends visiting...but it was also a tough day. I was having issues that seem to be resurfacing with my little girl and I became an angry mommy more that I would like to admit through-out the day. I obviously am looking forward to reading the book {desperate} pictured below in the first pic of the day this summer. But God makes all things new every morning...thankfully!
